ContiTech SilentSync Sprockets Goodyear Eagle NRG

SilentSync Sprockets

Description

SilentSync Goodyear Eagle NRG drive sprockets for timing belts are innovative, and compact synchronous drive packages that ensure high efficiencies up to 98%. These timing pulleys are designed for high horsepower capacity applications. SilentSync drive sprockets are formulated from specialty compounds, which make them suitable for high demanding applications, which also can perform at high temperatures efficiently.

The Helical Offset Tooth (HOT) design of SilentSync timing sprockets ensure noise-free operation by reducing vibration, and operating noise by 19 decibels. This leads to a quieter work environment. Unlike standard chain drives, these belts and timing sprockets require no lubrication, which helps reduce maintenance costs immensely.

SilentSync Industrial Sprocket Number Nomenclature

Sprocket numbers can be identified easily with the following nomenclature:

  • Quick Disconnect (QD): As the name suggests, these are quick disconnect type sprockets. These sprockets are installed on a shaft using a bushing. QD sprockets are not available in smaller diameters due to space limitations.
  • Minimum Plain Bore (MPB): These Plain Bore sprockets are provided with a minimum bore of 1 or ½ inch, as well as H7 tolerances.
  • Bored to Suit (BTS): The BTS sprockets can be created in any metric size, as per customer’s requirements. These sprockets are machined for a keyway, and setscrew holes.
  • Finished Stock Bore (FSB): These Finished Bore sprockets are provided with a standard keyway, as well as setscrew holes.
